The Moyamoya Health Behavior Scale for Adolescent Patients: Measurement Tool Development and Psychometric Evaluation

Clinical practitioners treating moyamoya disease recognize the need for a systematic approach to better manage in adolescent patients with disease. Methods: This study aimed develop and evaluate validity reliability of scale which measures health-related behaviors adolescents Results: The final 12-item Moyamoya-HB Scale was categorized by three sub-domains: implementation treatment (four items); health promoting behavior coping items). Overall, these factors explained 68.97% total variance. results confirmative factor analysis supported construct, convergent discriminant sub-domains. also demonstrated concurrent Korean Adolescents’ Health Behaviors Tool (r = 0.59, p < 0.001). Reliability showed an acceptable-to-high Cronbach’s alpha 0.865 total, subscales ranged from 0.800 0.841. Conclusions: Initial findings support as reliable valid measure
